ARGES offers highly reflective coatings for all commercial laser wavelengths. These coatings are specially designed to withstand the high power densities of pulsed and continuous wave laser beams and meet the optical requirements of DIN ISO 10110.
CO2 laser coating
Many established industrial applications use CO2 lasers. High quality gold coatings on stiff silicon substrates provide the best solution for most infrared scanning applications in terms of flatness, reflectivity and dynamic performance of the scan system.
This broadband metallic coating can be used in conjunction with most commonly available pilot lasers that utilize red laser diodes or HeNe lasers. Beryllium substrates for fast scan systems are also available on request. We can optionally also provide hard dielectric coatings for these mirrors.
VIS broadband coating
Enhanced metallic silver is a standard coating for broadband reflective mirrors. It is very well suited for applications with medium power 1064 and 532 nm and 1064 nm Nd:YAG lasers and for all vision applications. The reflectivity is slightly lower than for dielectric coatings, which are tailored for a specific wavelength.
Nd:YAG laser coating
All our coatings for Nd:YAG lasers are produced by ion beam assisted deposition. They are therefore less hygroscopic than normal coatings and maintain their high optical quality over many years.
630–670 nm and 1064 nm
This hard dielectric coating is recommended as a standard coating for all CW and pulsed high power Nd:YAG lasers. Compared to other dielectric coatings, it exhibits a maximized broadband reflectivity and permits wide scan angles.
This coating provides a secondary reflectivity band at 630 to 670 nm for use with pilot lasers.
For frequency doubled, tripled or quadrupled Nd:YAG lasers, ARGES offers high quality mirror coatings that are specially tailored to the particular wavelength of the laser. These mirrors are characterized by their minimal reflection loss, high damage threshold and excellent planarity.
Diode laser coating
808 nm, 940 nm and 980 nm
ARGES offers an 808 nm coating for high power applications, and a triple coating for ultra high power applications.
Ultra short pulse laser coating
Various specialized coatings for all commonly used wavelengths in the ultra short pulse range.
Excimer laser coating
193 nm, 248 nm and 308 nm
For excimer lasers, ARGES offers high quality mirror coatings that are specially tailored to the particular wavelength of the laser. These mirrors are characterized by their minimal reflection loss, high damage threshold and excellent planarity.
