Beam dump shutter

A beam dump shutter is used to redirect a laser beam into a beam dump to prevent unintentional emission of the laser beam and damage to the scan head.

Brief description

  • galvanometer-driven mirror, 6 mm, 11 mm, 16 mm, 21 mm or 31 mm aperture
  • fast shutter speeds: 0.3 ms (6 mm model), 10 ms (16 mm model)
  • available for all commercial wavelengths

Optional:

  • synchronization for pulse lasers to avoid damage to the edge of the mirror during shuttering
  • water-cooled beam dump
