Laser adapters

For connecting a laser system to the ARGES system controller

PASSIVE GENERIC LASER ADAPTER (PGLA)

This printed circuit board takes signals from the laser control connector of the ASC controller to standard industrial connectors. It provides space for custom circuitry to adapt, if necessary, the control ports of the laser to the ASC controller.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

  • quick and easy connection of all inputs and outputs of the laser to an ASC, SC or NCC system controller
  • option to solder additional customized input and output drivers and switches onto the circuit board

Passive Generic Laser Adapter 2 (PGLA 2)

ARGES passive generic laser adapter 2

This printed circuit board takes signals from the laser control connector of the ASC controller to standard industrial connectors. It provides space for custom circuitry to adapt, if necessary, the control ports of the laser to the ASC controller.

Brief description

  • quick and easy connection of all inputs and outputs of the laser to an ASC, SC or NCC system controller
  • option to solder additional customized input and output drivers and switches onto the circuit board
  • high-speed 24 V digital outputs via multi-pin connector
  • selected digital and analog outputs directly on BNC connectors available
  • available as standalone circuit board or in a housing

GENERIC LASER ADAPTER (GLA)

The GLA provides 16 digital, galvanically-isolated I/O ports that can be configured via the ARGES system controller.

Brief description

  • quick and easy connection of all inputs and outputs of the laser to an ASC, SC or NCC system controller
  • 16 galvanically-isolated digital I/O ports
  • for applications where more than 8 digital I/O ports are required

LASAG laser adapter

This laser adapter has been integrated into a connector housing for direct connection to a LASAG laser. The laser can be connected to a system controller via a standard DVI-I cable. The connector also provides an RS-232 interface to the system controller.

Brief description

  • connection of the control interface of LASAG lasers to an ASC, SC or NCC system controller
  • entire interface electronics housed in a single protected industrial connector
  • fully isolated interface

GENERIC LASER CABLE (GLC)

The GLC takes 5 basic signals from the laser control connector of the ARGES controller and outputs them on 5 BNC connectors.

Brief description

  • available in 5 m length
  • analog signals (0 to 10 V):
    • laser power
    • pulse frequency
  • digital signals (TTL 0 to 5 V):
    • gate
    • first pulse kill signal
    • optional control signal
